This test is subject to reflex testing, see Laboratory Reflex Testing Policy, you have the option to decline reflex testing if you believe it is not medically necessary. If the HIV Quantitation is equal to greater than 1000 copies/mL the HIV-1 Genotypic Drug Resistance, Plasma (Mayo Test ID HIVDR) will automatically be sent to Mayo Clinic Laboratories.
