Important Note

The patient should be fasting, as reference ranges are based on fasting individuals.

Tests included are: Cholesterol, Triglycerides, HDL, LDL (calculated), Cholesterol/HDL ratio and non-HDL Cholesterol.

Test subject to Medicare National Coverage Determination (NCD) Cardiovascular Screening Blood Tests and 190.23 Lipids Testing.

This test is subject to reflex testing, see Laboratory Reflex Testing Policy, you have the option to decline reflex testing if you believe it is not medically necessary. If the triglyceride is greater than 400 mg/dL or the calculated LDL is deemed invalid, a LDL, Direct will be performed.
