| CBC Smear Review | This request is for a peripiheral blood smear to be Wright Stained, filed, and held in the laboratory for one year. |
| CBC Hemolysis Review | This request includes a microscopic examination of a Wright stained blood smear to look for indications of RBC hemolysis. It will include Schistocytes, Spherocytes, and a Comment field. |
| Path Review - Hematology | This is a request for a pathologist to review the slide and report their findings. There must be a comment included in the “Indication for review” text box. This request will be subject to part B Professional billing. |
| Parasite Exam, Blood | Blood Parasite examination consists of examining a thin and thick smear microscopically in conjunction with the BinaxNOW Malaria Immunochromographic Assay. Refer to JTC entry for this testing for specimen collection information. |
