Test Code LAB458 ANCA, IFA (IBD AND AUTOIMMUNE HEPATITIS) NOT FOR VASCULITIS

Important Note

If the ANCA is positive, an Anti-Neutrophil Cytoplasmic Antibody Titer (CPT: 86256) will be performed at an additional charge.

If the pattern is reported as P-ANCA or C-ANCA, a Myeloperoxidase (CPT: 83516) and a Proteinase 3 (CPT: 83516) will be performed.  If a patient is known to be positive for P-ANCA or C-ANCA, then another ANCA, IFA is not appropriate and the patient should be followed with the appropriate immunoassay (MPO and/or PR3).
