Test Code LAB841 URIC ACID, URINE, 24 HOUR

Important Note

For Outside Hospital Clients, submit a 10 mL aliquot from a 24 hour urine collection.  Record the total volume on the lab requisition.

Actual collection time of urine should always be documented. The calculation for a 24 hour urine will only be provided when the collection time is within the 22-26 hour time frame. Outside of that, a calculation will not be performed. Urines outside of 22-26 hours will not be rejected.
