Green microtainers are not ideal for this assay and should be used when a vacutainer cannot be obtained and will only be accepted from NICU, NUR, B5 and PICU patients
Sodium heparin and lithium heparin are both acceptable. Plasma
separator tubes are acceptable.
For samples collected in a syringe remove the needle from syringe
and cap sample immediately.
