Samples must be collected at the Main Campus (ACC) only and tested within 2 hours of collection. This test requires a separate blue top collected just for this test. Collect blood through a 19-21 gauge butterfly needle into a blue top tube (supply #031975), discard this tube and collect a second blue top tube and collect 6 mL into a green top (lithium heparin supply #031977), submit whole blood to the lab immediately. Tube must be full. Keep sample at ambient temperature. Sodium heparin green top tubes without gel are acceptable. Gel tubes are NOT acceptable.
